My partner and i decided to give crappiei a try mid-morning yesterday, as you can tell from ice on the bluerock it was still cold when we launched but fish were biting (for me as least) fish wanted jigs and would not hit a minnow???? I caught fish most of morning but most were throwbacks. I fished bass assassin chartruese small shad body jigs. Brought home 12 fish here are the four best, bite was as light as i have ever had, you would think it was small bream fish bite was best 12 to 2 p.m. happy new year, danny.
