Today was a pretty good day on Aliceville. Me and my brother got in the water at 3:30. Caught 30 keepers fishing up to 5:45. Was using the Crappie101 jig head Blue Moon with a Bobby Garland Pearl White jig. Fishing on drop offs from 8' to 25' w/ structure on main river. Vertical jigging was catching a few but the best was to hold in deep water and pitch to shallow (8')and to swim back and let fall off ledge. Fish seemed to be holding at about 10 FOW. Caught nothing really big 3/4 lb was biggest but most were keepers. Didn't ry any shallow water today but that's in the plans tomorrow.

Nice Crappies!

Do you use plastic trailers or tip with minnows?

I'll try on my fav lakes when the ice/snow clears.

All I use on the jig is a Berkley Crappie nibble, prefer the yellow color. Never use a plastic trailer or minnows.
