My brother and I fished Arkabutla today. We fished from 9 until 3 and ended up with these keeper fish. We went through 2lbs of minnows and probably caught a least 150 crappiei. Our best bite come on live bait, the little fish would bury our B'n'M slow trollers in the water whereas the big ones would push up on the line . We side scanned and found the bait fish then we fished.

Nice catch guys. I was fishing Butla as well on Saturday and finished with 8 nice crappiei pulling cranks. John it was nice talking to you the Sunday before last on the ramp at Butla when we both got a late start. I don't know what happened this past Sunday but the larger fish just turned off. I fished till noon on both ends of the lake and all I caught were shorts. The reports I'm getting for today is more of the same.
DTG, Im glad Im not fishing with you. Using 30 dozen minnows per day. At the bait shop there in town at $2.85 per dozen plus tax thats about $90.00 worth of minnows. I bought 8 dozen large minnows and a bag of ice cost me $25.00 and change. Woods
