Bay Springs Lake MS Crappie fishing report

I fished Bay Springs on 5/22/12. Found a large school of mostly black crappiei in a ditch around wood cover. Fish are still keying in on insect larvae. My dad got one neat looking black nose. Stripe went from his back fin all the way down his nose to were his gill flaps met.

Nice catch, me and my better half plan on trying them Saturday, going early and try to beat the heat and boat traffic. Think G.G. and his son-in-law are going Friday.
