Bay Springs Crappie Fishing Report with Bigun's Pro Guide Service. Jim and Della Reimers from Hot Springs Village, Arkansas came down and fished with Joel catching some nice crappiei over the weekend. The bite was tough and light with the front and rain, but with the new B'n'M double touch duck commander rods the light bite was easier to detect. We were single poling brush in 10' to 30' of water, water temps we in the mid 60's Thanks to all the company's that help us B'n'M Poles, Ego Nets, Pap's Hair Jigs, Cummberland Crappie, Wise Seating Solutions, Southern Pro Plastics and Engel Coolers. A flat is just as it sounds. This is an area of shallow water that has no defined drop into deeper water. The water depth is uniform or gets deeper very gradually. Flats can be found at the backs of all the bays, in coves within the bays and on the main lake where the flat land adjacent to the river was covered up by water when the rivers were backed up by damming.
