Got the weekend crappie fishingi report from Joe Wilson and Steve Perritt. The guys fished Sat and caught 20 to 30 keeper crappiei in 12 foot of water. On Monday the guys ended up fishing a little more shallow and caught fewer but better quality crappie. The bigger fish came from 6 to 8 feet deep. Joe said the tried minnows but only caught 2 crappie with minnows. The rest came on black and chartreuse jigs. The large crappie Steve is holding is over 16 inches long while the one Joe is holding is 14.5. These are good crappie for Columbus but they are still showing stress.

Refers to the degree of transparancy of the water you are fishing. This determines the distance and depth that a fish is able to see an object (such as your lure) under the water.
