Columbus Lake report 8-30-09

Well I went back out on Columbus lake today to try a new tactic. It rained on me from 6:30 am to 10:30. I caught 10 gar, 8 catfish, 4 stripes and 2 drum. 0 crappiei.
I did learn: (1) Trolling is the most effective way to catch gar. (2) Large catfish prefer the center trolling poles

I agree 100%. I spent 20 minutes today cuttin rigs loose from one another after 1 catfish and the other 2 hours shampooing my boat carpet!!!!!!!!!
