Friday I went long lin
e trolling black / chartreuse Charlie Brewer sliders. Caught 10 nice crappiei but lost 2 at the boat with no net man.( Big Papa had to work). Caught them 15 - 20 feet deep in 25 - 30' of water. Water temp 71 degrees and 6 out of 8 of them were still full of eggs and we have to catch them shallow????? I was fishing Walker County Lake.

tjenkins, this is just a guess of mine but i'm going to watch next full moon (5th of may) and see if fish go back to bank, it's been a funny spawn here in Columbus,Ms.

Meant to say we have yet to catch them shallow. Does anyone think the crappiei will still move
up and spawn with the water temp 70+.
