John and Kent came from 16th place on day one to win the championship on day-two with 23.68#s. These guys fished on the northeast side of Grenada Lake above Young’s Landing in 16’ of water, fishing 11’ deep with extra-large minnows to catch a total of 14.12#s on day-two. They also finished 2nd in the Big Momma Open Tournament with a 2.31# slab.

They had 4 fish that measured over 17” long. John was very disappointed on day-one with around 9.50#. He stated that tomorrow “I’ll be a Zero or a Hero, I’m going for Broke” and that they did.

They fished an area they never practiced and hadn’t fish for months. The area had deep underwater stumps and brush piles off the river, and it was full of big crappiei.

MCC is very proud of this excellent team, they represent us well. Congratulations John and Kent. Keep taking our money.

Nice job guys. And two thumbs up to MCC for the job they did this weekend. Almost made it fun donating to the pot. LOL.

A super fishing spot containing a number of big fish; also any place with a large concentration of keeper fish. When you find a honey hole, you'll want to keep the location to yourself or risk someone else catching all your fish!
