What a nice day it was yesterday. The weather was absolutely perfect to Crappie fish. Hard to beat 65 degrees and little wind in February. Kept 10 and threw back about 10. Some of the Black Crappie we dressed had eggs already. All fish were fairly shallow 8' to 12' on brushpiles outside edges of drops with pretty aggressive bite on minnows. Minnows over jigs for sure. Water temp was about 48-50 degrees in the mouths of the larger bays. Water color was a little stained but maily clear.

New to the site. Just thought I would say hi. Maybe the weather will let me get out tomorrow catch a few crappiei.

Where are the fish?

The fish may really turn on about Thursday or Friday with the warm temps this week. The wind is not gonna cooperate the next couple of days and I think it supposed to be fairly light on Thursday and Friday. There are always some early spawners that show up in February. I fish mainly the south end of the lake between New Johnsonville and Big Sandy. I will be there on Thursday so I will let everyone know what's going on.

Hello everyone. New to this forum. I had 4 buddies catch 37 keepers Sunday. I didnt go so I dont know all of the details, but all were caught on minnows. They were fishing in 12-18 ft of water around the power lines and in West Sandy area of KY Lake. Planning on going back in a couple weeks.

Jesus loves fishermen!
