Male crappie are showing their color

Here is a picture of my fishing partner Ramon holding a male crappiei we caught the other day. The fish is bigger than it looks but more than anything look at the color. This is a sure sign of what is going on with the crappie spawn.

My wife and i went today no luck untill noon, caught 15 nice fish all full colored males caught in 2 fow or less and 3 nice females in 4 fow buried in a brush top, caught fish on wood and weeds.
