Jim Scaggs of Jackson Mo., David Grimes of Desoto Mo., and Kevin Rodgers of Paducah Ky., came down and fished with Joel and Mike catching over 70 crappiei with 65 keepers, we caught these crappie side pulling with Pap's Hair Jigs, Southern Pro Plastics, Pap's Jigs and B'n'M Difference Rods. These fish were caught in 10' to 17' of water, water temps were in the mid 60's. Remember take a kid fishing!

A flat is just as it sounds. This is an area of shallow water that has no defined drop into deeper water. The water depth is uniform or gets deeper very gradually. Flats can be found at the backs of all the bays, in coves within the bays and on the main lake where the flat land adjacent to the river was covered up by water when the rivers were backed up by damming.
