RAY, CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT STATE NONRESIDENT LICENSE WE WILL NEED FOR THE CLASSIC AT PICKWICK. WITH THE LAKES RUNNING IN 3 STATES JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE THE RIGHT ONE(S). THANKS MARK

Hey Mark. The Alabama license is the most liberal license which allows you to fish the whole lake except above the Dam. Mississippi and Tennessee have some restrictions. Here is the Mississippi license map for Pickwick. http://www.crappie101.com/crappie-forums/mississippi-license-map-pickwic...

A flat is just as it sounds. This is an area of shallow water that has no defined drop into deeper water. The water depth is uniform or gets deeper very gradually. Flats can be found at the backs of all the bays, in coves within the bays and on the main lake where the flat land adjacent to the river was covered up by water when the rivers were backed up by damming.
