I am up here at Pickwick today and tomorrow. Just getting started one crappiei and one catfish. Thanks Don Don for the help.

Looks like you need to rig up a pipe that sticks down in the factory holders on the(Left and Right) back. Then bend that pipe over and run it toward the seat base. Then something in it also. This way its solid and stable. But easy to take out of the boat and bet you can fit it where it will fold up and store easy in the boat. And allows you to mount rod holders to it and troll out of the back of the boat ..
Also nice looking boat there. I looked at those but went with a Lund. And at times I still wonder if I would have enjoyed the 861 more.

Big Papa said. Had to come up with a better way to pull crankbaits. Used bungey cords to hold and old rod holder in place. That big cat tangled all my lines. I will troll off the back in the morning.

A flat is just as it sounds. This is an area of shallow water that has no defined drop into deeper water. The water depth is uniform or gets deeper very gradually. Flats can be found at the backs of all the bays, in coves within the bays and on the main lake where the flat land adjacent to the river was covered up by water when the rivers were backed up by damming.
