Terry and I fished four gentlemen from St.Louis, Sunday. The lake has been on a big rise with all the rain. Fishing was slow but we managed to find a few nice fish.

Pomoxis is a genus of freshwater fish in the sunfish family (family Centrarchidae) of order Perciformes. The type species is P. annularis, the white crappiei. The common name crappie (pronounced /ˈkræpiː/), refers to either of the Pomoxis species, both of which are extremely popular game fish.
