I fished Sardis Lake Saturday & Sunday with Reed Kelly & Kevin Mays. We had a really great day. Fishing 12 to 18 foot water. We were using 14 ft BnM poles, double crappiei rigs, southern pro jigs and hi-tek rod holders. As good a day as we had Saturday it was the fried up crappie that made the trip. I will post day two (Sunday) Pictures later. John Woods Guide Service

Pomoxis is a genus of freshwater fish in the sunfish family (family Centrarchidae) of order Perciformes. The type species is P. annularis, the white crappiei. The common name crappie (pronounced /ˈkræpiː/), refers to either of the Pomoxis species, both of which are extremely popular game fish.
