Spring has Sprung on Bear!

Me and my Uncle Buddy Davenport went fishing yesterday on Bear, It blew AGAIN but we did manage to bag a dozen nice slabs before being blown off the fish by the wind. Moving to the leeward side of some hills on the west banks helped some but the fish wanted nothing to do with the west banks They seemed stacked up still out on brush and cover. One female we caught was about ready to spawn the rest of the females were a week or two from there eggs being fully developed.

Was told winter water level will not be brought up to summer pool until 4-15-12 That means some of these crappiei will be spawning during the water depth change.

TVA should be kicked in the groin for waiting so long to bring the water back to summer pool, I bet it kills millions of crappie eggs who will be lying 3 feet too deep in water on the 16th of April.

Sorry for the RANT :)
