I fished Columbus Lake a little this weekend. Man it was hot out there. I did not catch a lot of crappiei but I did get a good mess. The water temps were around 90 and the crappie I found still were hanging around in some relatively shallow water. Most of the ones I caught were in 6 to 8 feet of water and they came on the "Flamingo" head with electric chicken. If I could find some shade that is where the crappie preferred just like I did.
