On Wednesday, which was quite windy at times, we were able to pickup around 25 crappiei ranging in size, 20 of which were keepers. We were using a black body with chartreuse tail and a pink crappie minnow. The crappie were slow to bite but time prevailed. The fish were in water depths of 18 inches to 2 feet. As the day progressed and temperatures rose, we were finding more aggressive fish in depths of 2 to 3 feet of water. Most crappie were caught off of the main river in a cypress stump, back water area South of the boat ramp.

Happy fishing
