It's been quite a while since I've been out there and was really itching. Wilton and John Wade's dad bought them a trip at a Relay for Life auction back in the spring. They decided to cash in this weekend. These boys, along with their friend Grant, caught over one hundered fish. The problem is they mostly were 1/4" shy of the limit. They did manage to scratch out 31 keepers and there could have been 5 or ten that got away. Who counts them when your having that much fun. Wilton did manage to catch one that tipped the two pound mark. I think the boys will be thanking Will Wade for the trip and I would like to say thanks for your donation for the fight against cancer.

A flat is just as it sounds. This is an area of shallow water that has no defined drop into deeper water. The water depth is uniform or gets deeper very gradually. Flats can be found at the backs of all the bays, in coves within the bays and on the main lake where the flat land adjacent to the river was covered up by water when the rivers were backed up by damming.
