Columbus Lake Mississippi crappie fishing report Joe Wilson

Start the presses. I have a story. I got this picture from Joe Wilson and he is crappie fishingi on Columbus Lake today. He caught a few over 14" and several other nice crappiei today. Slow trolling 14 foot deep.. with Minnows..

Don Hudson and I fished Columbus this weekend. Here are 2 of the 20 crappiei we caught. We were hand poling in about 8 foot of water holding up about 3 foot deep.

Columbus lake Mississippi Black Nose Crappie

I caught my first black nose crappiei on Columbus Lake yesterday. I think these are pretty rare around here and the first I have seen on our lake.

Columbus Lake Mississippi crappie fishing report

Don Hudson and I fished Columbus lake yesterday. We caught some nice crappiei. The fish were in 7 to 9 foot of water and about 4 foot deep. Don has the catfish we caught twice.. Nope not kidding took this catfish off the hook, took a picture, tossed him back and he bite the hook again instantly.

Columbus Lake Mississippi Crappie fishing report

Fished Columbus Lake Saturday. Caught 40 crappiei and kept 15 pretty good fish. Caught crappie suspended 3 foot deep in 4 to 7 foot of water.
