This will be Crappie Masters debut event here on the Tennessee Tombigbee waterway and promises to be a good event.
This is a qualifier event and will be held on March 3rd. Although many think these events are for traveling semi-pro teams, Crappie Masters welcomes local teams to compete. Local fishermen have always fared quite well against the traveling teams in these events across the country but here on new waters the prospects of locals taking home the winnings are very bright.
The top 12 teams at this qualifier will qualify for the national championship tournament called the Classic to be held here on the Columbus Lake in October.
Late registration and voucher pick up will be at 5:00 pm and the seminar at 6:30 pm at the Trotter Convention Center, 123 5th Street North, Columbus, MS. on March 2. Weigh in is March 3 at the Columbus Marina, 295 Marina Dr. Anglers must stop fishing at 3:30 pm and be in the weigh in line by 4:30 pm. The public is invited to come and watch the weigh in at no charge.

A free kids fishing rodeo will be held the morning of March 3 at the Columbus Marina. Kids can register at 8:00 am and will fish from 9 to 11:00 am. All kids will receive a sample package from Crappie Masters sponsors. Kids will need to bring their bait and poles.
I invite the public to attend the weigh-in and local teams to come participate in the tournament. I look forward to seeing all at the event.
