Hey guys the Crappie bite is really good right now. June is often overlooked for Crappie fishing here on Kentucky Lake. But it tends to be one of my favorite months to fish. Stable temps mixed with light winds and absolutely no fishing pressure equals success. Also I am taking ledge trips for Largemouth Bass as well. Crappie in the morning and Largemouth in the afternoon is an incredible combo. I still have a few days available in June if anyone is interested in a great trip. Feel free to give me a call. 615-207-1937.

I am visiting Florida in June and have some serious fishing plans. Which variety of fishes is good to catch over there?

A flat is just as it sounds. This is an area of shallow water that has no defined drop into deeper water. The water depth is uniform or gets deeper very gradually. Flats can be found at the backs of all the bays, in coves within the bays and on the main lake where the flat land adjacent to the river was covered up by water when the rivers were backed up by damming.
