Lake Maps Fishing Reports Boat Ramps Lake Info

Lamar Bruce Lake Lake Lamar Bruce, once known as Lake Lee, was opened in 1954. It is one of 24 state fishing lakes operated by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. Historically known for it’s tremendous bream fishery, the lake also contains good populations of large mouth bass, crappie and channel catfish.

Renovations during the last two years of existing gravel beds and other fish attractors make Lamar Bruce a popular destination. Three fishing piers located along the shoreline provide good bank access. A new boat ramp accommodates boats of all sizes.

Presently, there are no harvest regulations for any species. However, statewide creel limits do apply. Sportfishing licenses are required to fish with the exception of July 4th. Fishing permits are also required.

Current Lake Levels

Lamar Bruce Lake is not a flow water lake. The lake levels will not change as often as other lakes and will not be monitored.
