Trap nets in four feet of water from Monday and Tuesday caught 70+ crappiei, many of which were females fat with eggs. Surface temperature at the trapping location was 73 degrees on Tuesday, but Wednesday's storms and Thursday's wind have brought surface temperatures down to around 62-65 degrees where I located several tagged fish in less than 3 feet of water today. Other tagged fish are still a little deeper (8-12 feet) and could still be staging to spawn.

Refers to the degree of transparancy of the water you are fishing. This determines the distance and depth that a fish is able to see an object (such as your lure) under the water.
