So far 19 tagged crappiei have been located. Surface water temperatures today ranged from 36.9 to 37.5 degrees. Fish were located today in 9 to 11 feet of water today. Other fish this week have been found in 5 to 20 feet of water. The accompanying map shows fish locations of Jan. 15th, 19th, 21st and 22nd.

Pomoxis is a genus of freshwater fish in the sunfish family (family Centrarchidae) of order Perciformes. The type species is P. annularis, the white crappiei. The common name crappie (pronounced /ˈkræpiː/), refers to either of the Pomoxis species, both of which are extremely popular game fish.
