Side Imaging Demo Video 2

This side imaging video was created to help demo how to interpret the scans from a Humminbird side finder unit. Please email us or leave a message on the forums telling of your interest in side imaging videos. The creation of the videos are very time consuming and we would like to know if there is a genuine interest in the videos we produce.

There is a software package that is used to view these recordings on a pc. The package is called SIView and it can be downloaded from http://www.mnorwood.com/SIView/. You can use this package to view specific GPS coordinates as well and use a tool to measure lengths of items.

These are the steps used to get the information:
1. Record the video to your SD card in your side imaging unit.
2. Place the SD card into a read on your PC.
3. Copy the files from the RECORD directory to your PC.
4. Run XTF2SON (This software is available from the Humminbird website)and convert your XTF file to SON.
5. Once you have converted the file to SON, use the SIView software to open the recording.

Once your file is opened in SIView, it will be still image(s) of your recording. You can then use the measuring tool to determine the lengths of items you have scanned.
