Teams Needed: 12

Current Committed: 12

Ok I have had several emails and calls from different ones of you guys asking about a crappiei club. From what I have so far the interest is mostly in a club that fished locally to begin with anyway. Possibly 2 tournaments on each section of the waterway, Aberdeen, Columbus and Aliceville then a Championship. Small entry fees for tournaments maybe $50.00 and low membership fees say $40.00 per year.

What we have to have to make this work is about 12 boats that are say charter members. These are the guys that start and support the club by making every effort to fish the events. What I need to know is how many of you guys would support such a venture and join?

Just leave a message here on the website so I can begin to get a count. If there are 12 we will make a run at it and crappie101.com will help support the club.

Ok Ray, the ball is rolling. I got flyers in Tri-Star Marine, Kal-kola Express and Aberdeen Marina. Again, if anyone has a business or knows some one that has a business that would hang a flyer in the window, just let me know and we will get you some flyers or we will go put em in the businesses. I know there is more than twelve boats that crappiei fish these lakes, cause I see em. Let's get the word out and have a little fun. Ray, do you reckon we could do any good with an informal meeting out at the East Bank pavilion? Maybe one Sunday afternoon?

Thanks Tracy. I have several more soft commits to fish the tournaments. I will be working on some rules and things and try to announce a meeting soon to determine a basis of how we will do things. I will give a couple weeks notice for the meeting and it will be after the CUSA Classic cause I am spending all my time trying to find a place I can get 7.

Ray I'm gonna put a flyer in some local business' doors. I'll make em up tonight and if anyone wants one to put in a business just let me know and I'll email it to ya. I ain't gonna put no phone numbers on it, just a link to this site. Or if you have something made up, send me a copy and I'll get started.

Just three more, hope we can find them. This could take off and be a great fishing adventure for all of our youth.

Ray...I'll join and fish as many as possible, depending on the schedule. Might be a few other teams over here that would be interested...I'll ask around.

Ray,
Columbus is 2 hours away for me. I have had the best results on Columbus in my short tournament career. I would like to be a part of this if I could work in Crappie USA and Crappie Masters when they have tourments that are within say a 4 hour drive of my hometown of Jasper. Will talk with my partner tonight.

Big Papa. The plan would be to avoid having tournaments on the weekends that the national tours have events in our area so I think we could work that out in your favor.
